A sweet fan visited me today at @duckscottage books, to gift me with this hand-painted conch shell fragment, with scenes of the Outer Banks. It will have a place of honor on my own piece of coastal paradise at Ebbtide on Tybee Island. And it will remind me of what joy I get, meeting readers and booksellers on book tour.
