Actual apples growing in an apple tree! As a native Floridian, I grew up picking (or filching) oranges, tangerines and lemons. We would snag avocados from the towering tree in a neighbor’s yard, cut them open and sprinkle with juice from another neighbor’s lime tree, them eat them out of our grubby little hands. But apples!
